Affection With Honor
Psalm 25:4Show me your ways, the Lord. Teach me your paths.
Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Two requests sit side by side: reveal the pattern of Your character, and tutor me on the road under my feet. Love that refuses this schooling invents its own definitions—kindness without truth, loyalty without holiness, closeness without courage. Guidance is relational before it is logistical. Ask to be shown, then stay teachable when the path corrects a cherished habit. In a hard conversation today, prefer God's way over the shortcut that wins the moment and wounds the bond. Paths become clear to people willing to be instructed. Let May continue with a learner's posture: Bible open, pride lowered, affection ready to obey what it learns. Ways grow beautiful when love agrees to be taught before it tries to lead everyone else.
PrayerLord, show me Your ways and teach me Your paths. Make me a learner in love, not a self-appointed expert. Amen.
