Held and Fed
Revelation 21:5He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."
He who sits on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new. Also He said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. Eastertide points forward to new creation already begun in Christ. Making is present and ongoing, not only a distant wish. Trustworthy words steady people tempted to believe decay has the final claim—on a body, a family, a city. Believe the throne's announcement enough to practice hope: repent where oldness still rules, create good where you can, refuse cynicism as sophistication. Newness starts in hearts and spreads toward a renewed world. Write the promise on your week somehow—journal, memorize, tell a child—so faithful words outlast moods. Let newness reorder what you call possible before cynicism finishes talking.
PrayerEnthroned Lord, You are making all things new. I believe these words are trustworthy—begin newness in me and keep me from cynicism. Amen.
