Intimate picture—shared supper—for people who can grow polite and lukewarm toward Christ. Hearing and opening are responses, not achievements that purchase presence. Health of communion with Jesus often declines through distraction more than dramatic rebellion. Notice where you have kept the door shut: hurried mornings, unrepented habits, neglected Scripture. Open today. Welcome His voice. Shared meals in the Gospels restore lonely and sinful people; let that pattern meet you in the middle of an ordinary afternoon. Nearness is offered. Do not confuse familiarity with fellowship any longer.
PrayerLord Jesus, You knock. I open the door—come in and eat with me. Restore nearness where I have kept You at the threshold. Amen.
