Quiet Courage
Hebrews 4:16Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
Because Jesus is our High Priest, we draw near with boldness to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need. Eastertide confidence is relational: the throne is grace, not ice. Boldness is not swagger; it is children approaching a Father who already made a way in blood. Need does not disqualify you; need is why help is offered. Name today's need without dressing it up first—fatigue, a decision, a relationship bruise, a body that hurts. Come for mercy that forgives and grace that assists. Then leave the throne to live helped, not merely inspired. Timely help often looks like courage for the next hour and softness toward people who need the same throne.
PrayerLord, I draw near to Your throne of grace for mercy and help. Meet my real need without shame, and send me back steadied. Amen.
