Lenten Honesty
Philippians 1:6Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Confidence rests on God's finishing character. He began a good work; He will complete it until Jesus' day. Your growth is mid-sentence. Lent reveals unfinished areas without canceling the project. This is pastoral assurance more than financial forecast, so we keep it clear of forced money themes. When you feel stalled, remember who the Subject of the sentence is—He who began. Cooperate with completion through means of grace, yet do not steal God's role as Completer. Pray this over someone whose faith looks fragile. Long obedience makes sense because God outlasts your phases. Completion is promised; perfectionism is not required tonight. Unfinished does not mean abandoned. May that distinction comfort you on days when growth feels invisible. Pray this promise over a teenager's uneven faith and over your own.
PrayerFaithful Completer, You began a good work in me—bring it to completion until Christ's day. I trust Your unfinished project that is my life. Amen.
