Empty Tomb Hope

Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

Ephesians 6:10

Finally—Paul turns to strength language after household instructions. Be strong in the Lord and in the might of His strength. Borrowed power is the only kind that lasts against spiritual pressure. Self-strength runs out midafternoon; His might does not. Lent weakness can be a classroom for this exchange. Name where you have been white-knuckling. Transfer the load with a spoken prayer. Strength in the Lord may feel like calm ability to continue, not like cinematic force. Put on dependence before you put on competence. The might is His; the standing is yours by grace. Return for refill without embarrassment whenever you empty. Midafternoon weakness is a scheduled reminder to borrow might again. Do not wait for collapse before you ask.

PrayerLord, I seek strength in You and in Your might—not in my caffeine, image, or grit alone. Fortify me for what this day holds. Amen.
