Open the Door

For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

Romans 1:16

Paul is not ashamed of the Good News; it is God's power for salvation to believers. Shame silences witness; power language restores confidence. The gospel is not fragile opinion. Lent can purify motives for speaking—less ego, more love—while removing embarrassment about the message itself. Where have you edited Jesus out of conversations from fear of awkwardness? Pursue bold gentleness when truth must be spoken with care. Power for salvation belongs to God; you carry news, not your own current. Rehearse the Good News in a sentence you can speak without jargon. Unashamed does not mean obnoxious. It means unwilling to hide the only power that saves. Power language restores nerve to gentle people who thought boldness required a loud personality. Speak the news plainly.

PrayerGod, I am not ashamed of Your Good News. Make me a clear, gentle witness to the power that saves through Jesus Christ. Amen.
