Enter With Thanksgiving

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4

Thanksgiving Day is a gate day. Psalm 100 invites a people to enter with gratitude and praise, blessing the Lord's name as they come. Gratitude here is not a seasonal garnish on a heavy meal; it is the posture for approaching God. Before the table fills, take a quieter minute. Name mercies that did not trend on anyone's feed—continued breath, a repaired relationship, work that paid a bill, faith that survived a hard year. Entering His courts with thanksgiving trains the heart to see grace as the doorway, not as an afterthought. If grief sits at your table too, thanksgiving can make room for tears without canceling praise. Bless His name for who He is, then share the feast as people who know the Host. Let thankfulness set the tone for conversations that could otherwise turn sharp or numb.

PrayerLord, I enter Your presence with thanksgiving. On this feast day, tune my mouth to bless Your name and my heart to notice mercies I almost overlooked. Amen.
