Love Grows Up
Colossians 3:14Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
Colossians stacks virtues—compassion, kindness, humility, patience—and then says love binds them into one fabric. Without that bond, good manners can still feel stiff, and apologies can sound rehearsed. Love is what turns separate virtues into a living relationship. Think of a tense dinner table or a group chat gone cold: the missing piece is rarely more information; it is a willingness to stay soft toward the other person. Walking in love does not mean ignoring harm or skipping hard conversations. It means letting Christlike care be the thread that holds correction, honesty, and forgiveness together. Aim for a warmer tone in the next hard conversation. Offer one concrete kindness that costs a little pride. Perfection here is not flawless performance; it is the bond that keeps people from falling apart when pressure hits.
PrayerLord, clothe me with love that holds every other virtue in place. Soften my tone at home and online, and help me choose kindness that is real, not decorative. Amen.
