Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Gifts have an address: from above. Father of lights is steady—no flickering change in His goodness. Trace today's good things upward: paycheck, friendship, breath, taste of fruit, skill. Gratitude becomes accurate when the Source is named. Shadow due to change describes us, not Him. In provision anxiety, remember the unchanging Giver. In pride, remember the downward direction of gifts. August harvests and late-summer joys are from above. Say so out loud. Then share a good gift as someone who knows it was never self-generated. The Father of lights keeps giving without mood swings. Trust His constancy more than the market's shadows.
