Peace Beyond Understanding
Acts 2:21It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved—wide door, strong promise. Lent invites renewed calling: not casual name-dropping, but appeal to Jesus as Lord for rescue. Salvation is the deep need under lesser needs. If you have drifted into self-rescue projects, call again. If you love someone far from faith, this verse fuels intercession without manipulation. Calling is simple enough for a gasping prayer and deep enough for a lifetime. Use the Name with reverence and urgency. Saved people keep calling as life unfolds. Let today's prayer be an actual appeal, not a religious gesture. Calling on the Name is available to the exhausted who can barely form sentences. Whisper it and mean the appeal.
PrayerLord Jesus, I call on Your name for salvation and help. Hear me, and teach me to keep calling with a trusting heart. Amen.
