Fresh Mercy

For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay.

Habakkuk 2:3

Habakkuk learns that vision has an appointed time. It hastens toward the end and will not lie, even if it seems slow. Waiting people are told to wait for it. Advent is the church's annual practice of appointed-time faith—Christ came once in fullness of time and will come again. Your personal hopes may feel overdue. This verse does not shame the ache; it relocates it inside God's schedule. Refuse the false choice between cynical quitting and frantic forcing. Watchfulness is the middle path. Write down what you believe God has shown, then ask for patience that stays awake. Delay is not the same as denial. The vision that is from God arrives without needing your panic to midwife it.

PrayerGod of appointed times, I wait for what You have spoken. Steady me when fulfillment feels slow, and keep me from calling Your timing a lie. Amen.
